Our journey began over coffee, 10 years ago, discussing our annoyance with all the unnecessary added ingredients in the supplements we wanted to buy.  Why couldn’t we get natural supplements at healthy levels without all the additives?  From here, barefoot nutrition was born. 

We are a small family team, with a health and nutrition background, namely chiropractic, human nutrition and functional medicine.  We apply this knowledge to design bioactive supplements that have healthful levels of nutrients with their all-important co-factors to ensure proper metabolism.  We make sure no artificial additives are used at all, even our capsules are made from fermented vegetable starch.  The only thing we have to use is a tiny amount of rice flour to make sure the powder gets through the machines without sticking.

We also wanted to show our consciousness towards the environment, so we stayed away from plastic and only use glass bottles.  Our labels are compostable and our lids are recyclable metal.  We really tried to think of everything before coming to the market.
